About the Program
The Bachelor of Arts (BA) Program is a three year degree program offered by the University with a view to impart in-depth knowledge and broad understanding of Humanities. The BA program focuses on training the students in the areas of Economics, English Literature, Public Administration, Sociology, Hindi Literature & History. These Programs aims to prepare the students in the skills required of a Playwright, Administration Officers, Journalists, Orator, and Creative Writer; and equips them to pursue MA degree program in due course.
For the award of BA degree, the student has to successfully complete all core courses, foundation courses and elective courses according to specified structure as given here.
For the award of BA (Hons) degree, students will have to successfully complete a total of 28 subjects as given in the program structure including honours courses.

Duration
- Three years (Six Semesters).

Eligibility Criteria
- Pass in Class XII or equivalent (any discipline) with minimum 40% aggregate marks.
- Students awaiting final examination results may also apply.

Compulsory Foundation Courses:
Four courses (General Hindi, General English-I, General English-II and Environmental Science) are compulsory in Semesters-I, II, III and IV respectively.

Elective Foundation Courses:
There are elective courses (Computer Application-I, Computer Application-II, Personality Development, Soft Skills etc). Out of these two courses must be taken by the students in Semester-V and VI respectively.

Core Courses:
Students can choose any combination of three subjects from English, Economics, Public Administration, History, Hindi Literature and Sociology. They will be required to mention the honors subjects if opting for them.

Elective Courses:
The student has to choose three elective courses in each Semester V and VI respectively out of a pool of elective courses prescribed by the University.
