Vision

Our goal is to establish a strong and effective system for nurturing and enhancing the research ecosystem in higher education institutions (HEIs), in line with the guidelines set forth in NEP-2020.

Mission

Foster an environment that promotes increased research productivity. Encourage collaboration among industry, government, community-based organizations, and agencies at various levels - local, national, and international. Facilitate wider access to research by mobilizing resources and funding.

Purpose

The primary goal of an R&D cell is to promote and support research activities among faculty, researchers, and students. It aims to enhance the research capabilities of the institution and contribute to knowledge creation and dissemination.

Support Services

R&D cells provide various support services to researchers, including assistance in project proposal development, identifying funding sources, navigating ethical considerations, and managing intellectual property rights.

Collaboration and Networking

They facilitate collaboration between researchers within the university and also with external partners such as industry, government agencies, and other academic institutions. This collaboration often leads to interdisciplinary research projects and the exchange of ideas.

Grants and Funding

R&D cells assist researchers in securing grants and funding for their projects. They help researchers identify funding opportunities, prepare grant proposals, and manage awarded grants effectively.

Infrastructure and Facilities

They manage and maintain research infrastructure and facilities within the university, ensuring that researchers have access to the necessary equipment, laboratories, and resources to conduct their research effectively.

Technology Transfer and Commercialization

R&D cells play a crucial role in technology transfer and commercialization efforts. They facilitate the transition of research findings and innovations into practical applications, products, or services that benefit society and the economy.

Training and Development

R&D cells often organize workshops, seminars, and training programs to enhance the research skills and capabilities of faculty, researchers, and students. These initiatives help in nurturing a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Monitoring and Evaluation

They monitor the progress and impact of research projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards. They also evaluate the outcomes and impact of research activities on the university, stakeholders, and society. Overall, a well-functioning R&D cell is essential for promoting a vibrant research ecosystem within a university, driving innovation, and contributing to the advancement of knowledge and societal progress.
